I'm a bit new to this space, and would appreciate some advice.

I'm interested in adding functionality to a work item such that it will display a list of files that are associated with the work item in a new tab.  The functionality is similar to the links tab (LinksControl) that displays a list of changesets, but I would like to eliminate the drillthrough necessary to get to the individual files.

Has anyone done something like this?  Or can anyone offer me advice on how to begin?
